Career and Counseling Centers Hold "First Responders Day" For Students

NTHS Career Mentor Lori Graves and the school counselors held a "First Responders Day" recently in the Library Media Center. Many students at NTHS show great interest in Law Enforcement and the Science & Health fields.

The students were able to walk from table to table and explore / learn, ask questions and even participate in demonstrations about the different first responder careers available for them to study after graduating high school.

Groups that participated in the day were North Tonawanda Police Department, North Tonawanda Professional Firefighters Local 1333, Niagara County Sheriff, New York State Troopers, U.S. Border Patrol, Mercy Flight WNY, Niagara Falls Air Reserve Med. Evac. Unit, U.S. Coast Guard, Army National Guard, Marines, Navy and Army.
