"Health Professions Day" Showcases Numerous Job Fields for Students
As a way of promoting the new Health and Science Academy, North Tonawanda High School Career Mentor Lori Graves and the School Counselors held their annual "Health Professions Day" on March 24, 2018 in the Library Media Center.
Many students at NTHS show great interest in the Science and Health fields. The students were able to walk from table to table and explore, learn and ask questions - even participate in demonstrations - about the different health fields available for them to study after graduating high school.
Some of the health professions that participated were: Respiratory Therapy Assistant, Radiation Therapy Assistant, Medical Assisting, Public Health, Clinical Lab Technician, Biotechnician, EMT/Paramedic, Health Information Technology, Diet & Nutrition, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Physical Therapy Assistant, Surgical Technician, Massage Therapist, Nursing, Athletic Training, Dental Assistant and Niagara Falls Air Force Air Med Evac.
