SkillsUSA is a partnership of students, teachers and industry that work together to ensure America has a skilled workforce while encouraging students to become world-class workers, leaders and responsible citizens.

Kassandra took first place in Health Professional Portfolio and is in the Health Occupations Technician Program.  The contest consists of a student preparing a professional portfolio and giving a live presentation for judges to evaluate the ability of the individual to present themselves to an employer.

Joseph took second place along with teammates in the Automated Manufacturing Technology competition.  The challenge of the competition is to evaluate a team’s preparation for employment in automated manufacturing and team approach to problem-solving work environment.

Kassandra will be representing New York State at the National SkillsUSA competition in June.
