Shopping for a College

College Fair College fairs are a great way for students to "shop" a college - to learn about majors, costs, scholarships, extracurriculars and athletic opportunities. On Sept. 18, approximately 500 juniors and seniors attended the NTHS 20th Annual College Fair in the gymnasium. Students were able to visit with admission reps from 100 colleges and universities including Syracuse University, The University of Pittsburgh, Niagara University, The Art Institute, Hilbert College, Niagara and Erie Community Colleges, The Culinary Institute of America, Daemen College and many more.  In addition, representatives from the military branches were present to respond to student inquiries. The NTHS Counseling Department provided a College Planning Booklet and class instruction to seniors and juniors in preparation for this event. The College Fair is a major activity that North Tonawanda is fortunate to offer to the students.
On October 2nd, the NTHS School Counselors hosted the annual WNY College Fair in the HS library. Seniors had an opportunity to ask last minute questions and gather additional information on potential colleges.
