NTI Holds Anti-Bullying Campaign, with Assembly for K-6 Students

On Oct. 21, North Tonawanda's K-6 students were treated to a special guest with an important message. Jared Campbell is a singer/songwriter who sings about overcoming obstacles, anti-bullying, respect, leadership and having an amazing outlook on life.

Assemblies were held at North Tonawanda Intermediate, as well as Spruce Elementary for all K-3 classrooms in the district.

As part of NTI's two-week campaign centered around “Junior Jacks Choose to be Kind.” a group of sixth-graders came in before school for two weeks straight to work on a "Don’t Bully" video. The video is being shown to everyone in the NTI building.

Pictured below are members of the “movie crew,” as well as Jared Campbell performing for the students.

Other events included decorating classroom door, Buffalo Bills players giving students a “shout out” for anyone caught being kind, and University at Buffalo student athletes sending NTI students a message.

Nov. 1 will see a Fall Festival event, which will celebrate the end of the campaign by inviting students and parents to see the "Don’t Bully" video.
