Orleans-Niagara Teacher Center Contest Announces NT Winners
The Orleans-Niagara Teacher Center Literacy Awards Ceremony was recently held at Lockport High School. This year, the theme was “I Have A Story To Tell…” This contest allowed the students an opportunity to share their own story.
Students’ stories were focused on (but not limited to) any of the following themes: kindness, empathy, responsibility, intergenerational relationships, cultural awareness/acceptance, and/or community. Works of literacy art were submitted by the student’s teachers. Students from North Tonawanda that received awards were: first place in the 4th/5th category - Meredith Roberts, third place in the 6th/7th grade category - Harrison Roberts, and Honorable Mention went to Aestarea Truesdale and James Campas.
