Step Right Up!
Spruce Elementary’s Book Blast event rolled into town the week of September the 28th. Principal Lindsey Turner and her staff played ringmaster at the roll out event as the students have a chance to win books and prizes.
Students were given a treasure map and had to invite 10 friends and family to support their mission. “It’s a great program,” says Mrs. Turner. “Each of our students gets a new, age-appropriate book and 100% of the contributions go to books. Our teachers can earn classroom shopping sprees for student participation. Our goal is to help build reading habits at home.”
So come one, come all and help Spruce students line their classroom shelves!
