Register a Student to Start School

Students new to the North Tonawanda City School District should register as soon as possible. Registration is a multi-step process that requires a scheduled appointment to register in person at the Administration Building located at 176 Walck Road. If you utilize the pre-entry form, you will be contacted by a NTCSD staff member. If you did not use the pre-entry form, please call 807-3568 for an appointment.

To be eligible to attend kindergarten in September 2025, a child must be five years old on or before Dec. 1, 2025. To be eligible to attend pre-kindergarten in September 2025, a child must be four years old on or before Dec. 1, 2025.

Current Pre-kindergarten Students
If your child is enrolled in Head Start, you will need to complete the registration packet below. If your child attends the Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) program operated by Carousel Academy at Ohio School, it is not necessary to complete a registration packet. However, if you have a new address or phone number, you must update that information with the District office by calling 807-3568.

Private & Parochial School Students
There is a separate registration form for any NT resident student attending a non-public parochial school. Please pick up the non-public parochial school form at the Administration Building. You may also download it.
Parents who expect to register a child in a non-public school must complete an abbreviated registration form. You need to bring proof of residency, which includes a current lease or mortgage statement, as well as a current utility or cellphone bill, and the student's birth certificate.
