Vacancy Notice: School Board Trustee Seat

North Tonawanda City School District Board of Education

The North Tonawanda City School District Board of Education is seeking a dedicated and community-minded individual to fill a vacant trustee seat. This is an excellent opportunity for a North Tonawanda resident who meets the voter qualifications and is passionate about serving the community.

Voter Qualifications:

• You must be a citizen of the United States.
• You must be 18 years of age.
• You must be a resident of the school district for a period of 30 days immediately prior to the vote.

Application Process: The Board will start accepting resumes with relevant experience from August 10, 2026 to August 24, 2026, at noon.

All eligible applicants will be invited to attend our September 2, 2026 board meeting (@ 6:30 p.m.) to introduce themselves and share their interest in being a School Board Trustee. 

The Board reserves the right to leave the seat open until the next election if a suitable candidate is not found.

Term Dates: If you are selected to fill the vacancy, you will serve until May 18, 2027, and can decide to run for a seat in the May, 2027 election.
