• welcome

The Reading Workshop provides Academic Intervention Services (AIS) to students who demonstrate limited or partial understanding of the NY State Common Core Learning Standards for ELA. My goal is to empower every student with the necessary skills and strategies to become more independent readers, thus improving their overall academic success. I will be using a variety of techniques and resources to improve word knowledge, comprehension, and fluency in not just reading, but writing as well. Because parents are the most important people in a child’s life, I feel that we must work together. I sincerely believe “It takes a village to raise a child!”. I am always open to any questions, comments, concerns, and/or suggestions that may help your child succeed. My door is always open, if there is ever anything I can do to help please do not hesitate to contact me. I’m looking forward to working with you and your child and hope to see you at parent-teacher conferences.
