The goal of the North Tonawanda City School District’s ESL Program is to develop English Language Proficiency and Cognitive Academic Language Proficiency (CALP) in English language learners so that they can function independently in the mainstream classroom setting and experience success.  To this end, our ESL teachers provide program instruction in English using a NYS Standards based curriculum to enhance classroom learning.
