Out and About
January 2026
The Dream It, Do It nonprofit group organized a field trip to Voss Manufacturing for our CDOS work-based learning classes, technology classes, and school store advisors. Students toured the facility and learned about different manufacturing careers and how products are made. Some students had the exciting opportunity to program a machine themselves. The tour guides talked with students about what it’s like to work for a local company and the career opportunities available to high school graduates. Students had a great time and were very impressed with the company and the type of product that Voss manufacturing produced.

October 2025

The Dream It, Do It non-profit group organized a field trip to Confer Plastics for our CDOS work-based learning classes and technology classes. We toured the facility, learned about various kinds of manufacturing jobs and how they make plastic products from start to finish. Our tour guides talked about what it's like working for a local company and what is available to high school graduates at their place of business. We all had a great time and were very impressed with the products that they produced. At the end of the tour, we were all given a free sled to take home.
