2000's

2000

  • Niagara Falls

Today we look back at the year 2000. We were all worried about Y2K and computers shutting down as we went from the 1900's to the 2000's. The third-grade classes from Gilmore Elementary took a ride on the Maid of the Mist and took in the beauty of Niagara Falls. We hope you can take a ride there this month and see the lights and natural beauty that is Niagara Falls.

While there is no "official" seven wonders of the world list, Niagara Falls is commonly listed as a seventh wonder, as a candidate for the 'natural wonders of the world', or as an honorary 8th wonder of the world.
But whether it's been marked as a member of the seven, an honorary '8th wonder' or placed on top ten natural wonders lists, Niagara Falls is consistently on these types of lists.

2001

  • Winter Fun

As we get set for our first major snow of the season, we look back to 2001 and a Winter Fun Day for what was Meadow Elementary at the time. Notice the field they are on is now where the Lumberjack Stadium sits. Stay warm and safe this weekend!
