Role of a School Counselor

•  Educate students socially and emotionally via:
  • Classroom Lessons
  • Small Group Counseling & 
  • Individual Counseling
• Work with Parents in order to increase the well-being of Students
• Collaboration with Teachers, Administrators and other Major Pupil Personnel Services 
• Assist in resolving student issues, needs and problems
  • Promote Student Problem Solving Insight

In North Tonawanda, Counselors and Social Workers also work very closely together in order to support their students.  I have the opportunity to work with Mrs. Amy Gorman at Spruce Elementary School!
