We work hard in 6th grade to reach our individual potential, learn new things, and embrace new challenges, in order to become independent, succesful readers, writers and leaders.
A few things we use to be successful in our classroom are:
SLANT - Sit tall, Listen Carefully, Ask and Answer Questions, Nod head, and Track the Speaker
DATA NOTEBOOKS - students use data notebooks to track their progress on daily academic and personal goals. Each student independently documents their own celebrations, academic progress and weekly reflections.
