The NT community showed up with large attendance numbers at the school district’s annual health fair and 5k last week. The health fair on April 16, 2015 had over 700 in attendance for the evening. Many local vendors showcased their business. Kids were provided with many opportunities to see what is offered to them around the community. There were live performances from local services. Each vendor provided a basket for the basket raffle.
The health fair also featured a Bald for Bucks session for students to participate in.
At the 5K race on April 18, 2015 over 300 were registered. Runners were all ages; some of the high school varsity athletes took awards home with them for their age group. Food and beverages were available for all participants. Games were offered for kids after their race while waiting for their awards.
Teaching the benefits of exercise and wellness continues to be the focus of the Health Fair and 5K run and family fun walk.
