English 9 is a comprehensive course that will introduce students to a variety of literature, writing skills, projects, expectations, oral presentations, public speaking, creative and analytical thinking, and more!
There is a calendar page where you can view what we are doing in class, assignments, due dates, tests, exams, etc. This is a fluid entity and subject to change on a daily basis. Information pertinent to English 9 will be solely on the ELA 9 calendar.
In accordance with New York State standards, students will be prepared for the state assessment exam given to them their junior year. The building blocks will begin in English 9 and will continue through their sophomore and junior years.
