Snacks & Birthday Celebrations
If you would like, your child may bring a nutritious snack and a bottle of water to school every day. The students may leave their water bottles in school for the week, but I ask that they take them home on Fridays to be cleaned out. Some examples of healthy snacks are: fruit snacks, fruit, crackers, vegetables. *Please no candy is allowed*
We do welcome birthday celebrations in the classroom. A new school wide policy has been adopted this year; we ask that no homemade treats come in for birthday celebrations. If you choose to send something in, please make sure it is store bought. If you would like to bring in a special treat for your child’s birthday please let me know a day or two ahead of time. (Simply write a note or leave a voice message) If you are bringing the treat into school for your child please leave it in the office.
