Let's see those projects!
Posted by R.Scott Gauld on 2/25/2013 11:00:00 AMAs always I look forward to seeing how creatively you've approached producing a project based on WW 2. Hopefully many of you read a book you'd never thought of reading, discussed a movie you'd never have chosen to view on your own, or put together a project that will educate your classmates.I truly enjoy seeing your creative sides and assessing you in a way that is not test driven. So let's get these in this week and show off all that you've gained by our study of this exciting time period. -
Last Chance for Projects!
Posted by R.Scott Gauld on 1/4/2013 10:00:00 AMThis weekend is your final chance to put together a quality WW I Project. Some of you may be creating a poster. If so, keep it informative with items such as battles, dates, timelines, etc. If you are creating a diorama also make sure that it represents something directly from the war or All Quiet on the Western Front. Journals should be based on one specific side of the fighting (Germany, France, Britain) and be from July 1914-November 1918. Videos should reflect historical situations or the movie All Quiet....! If you wish to drop these off before school Monday that is fine with me! -
WW I Projects
Posted by R.Scott Gauld on 12/18/2012 11:00:00 AMWhen choosing a project for WW I take into consideration your strong points. Do you like to write? Can you make a video? Are you creative or do you enjoy examining the facts? It's up to you to decide how you wish to approach this project. You will have until January 7th to complete it. That gives you not only the holiday break but also an additional weekend. So get to it and show me your best work! -
New Unit
Posted by R.Scott Gauld on 12/11/2012 1:00:00 PMTomorrow we will begin one of my favorite topics:World War I. If any one is looking to read a classic novel on this war I would highly recommend All Quiet on the Western Front by Remarque. I read this novel in high school and college and found it helpful in understanding the war and wars in general. Just a quick recommendation for my reading fans out there! -
