It is important that you know how to evaluate colleges and that you know how to maneuver college web sites.

Please open the link below to complete a college research project. You will compare and contrast the pros and cons of a college near home, and one that is away from home (one where you would need to dorm or get an apartment).

 

Create a Word document listing the pros and cons for each college.  Please remember that what you find as an advantage, could very well be a disadvantage for someone else.  Take into consideration things such as cost, academic programs offered, sports, scholarship opportunities, size, setting (urban, suburban, or rural), clubs or activities offered, parking if commuting, dorm settings, campus food programs, and other considerations that are important to you.
