• Student Credit Union
    A student-operated credit union, affiliated with the Niagara Regional Federal Credit Union on Erie Avenue, is open each afternoon from 2:45 until 3:15 p.m. next to the high school library. Teachers and students can open savings accounts, make deposits, cash checks for small amounts, purchase tickets for local venues or use the ATM.  By participating in this activity, students get real-life experience in customer service, banking operations and business etiquette.

     

    T-NT Exposition

    AOBF students act as student ambassadors during the T-NT Exposition, the annual business trade show that features local businesses and service providers. The students are available for the two-day show to assist business operators. Participation in this event fulfills community service requirements.

     

    Women's Fair

    AOBF students act student ambassadors during the Women's fair. The students are available for the two-day show to assist business operators. 

     

    Induction Ceremony

    An annual induction ceremony is held each fall for the new members of the Academy. The students are recognized for their acceptance into the program. Each student receives a jacket to be worn at public events such as field trips or community service. 

     

    Graduation
    Special graduation ceremonies are held for graduates of the AOBF. At the luncheon, graduates receive a certificate of completion and a green cord to wear at the high school graduation. They also have the possibility of winning a small scholarship 
    which is presented at the ceremony.
     

    Field Trips

    Students take a variety of field trips to gain exposure to other aspects of the business world including trips to the LaserTron Team Building Program, Local Banks, an Etiquette Luncheon, UB, NU, a Stockholder Meeting, Chicago, New York City and Washington are some of the past trips.
