• Our History

The Academy of Engineering and Architecture was initiated in September 2006 for the purpose of creating an academically-focused program of coursework in the engineering and architectural fields. Leading the formation of the Academy were three district teachers who served as co-advisors; Mrs. Mikulski in Technology, Mr. Cook in Art and Mr. Hiller in Science. Today, Mrs. Mikulski and Mr. Cook serve as co-directors of the Academy.

The curriculum contains required courses in each grade level with choices available in junior and senior years depending if the student wants to pursue the engineering path or the architecture path. View the Course Sequence.

Through focused coursework, community involvement, field trips and internships, Academy students are better prepared to succeed in university and college engineering and architecture programs.
