8th Grade
The 8th Grade grading system is based on points.
Each assignment carries a point value. Each student can add up how many points they earned and divide that total by the number of points available that marking period. Extra credit points are added to the calculated average.
8th graders receive three grades in FACS. There is a first ten-week grade, a second ten-week, and then a final average. That average carries over into the students’ final overall average. Five (5) extra credit points are available to be added to the ten-week average. Students are encouraged to make our cooking labs at home, an extra sewing project, or complete a teacher generated assignment.
It definitely pays to study in this class.
