IMPORTANT SUMMER SCHOOL INFORMATION FOR NORTH TONAWANDA HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS!
THE DISTRICT IS COVERING ALL COSTS FOR SUMMER SCHOOL!!!
Students can take up to two courses. If you wish to re-take an exam, you can also sign-up during registration.
Summer School Registration will be held at North Tonawanda High School on the following dates: 

• Monday, June 24^th (7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)
• Tuesday, June 25^th (7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)

To determine if summer school enrollment is necessary, parents and students need to check their Schoology/E-School Portal. We no longer post failure sheets in the library windows.  The exam period runs from June 12-25, 2024, so please check your portal approximately 2 days after your exam. 
A parent/guardian must register with a student in order to complete the registration materials.  Information required at registration includes parent/guardian signature, student’s identification card or driver’s license, emergency and medical information, and contact numbers. Summer School will be held at Starpoint High School from July 9^th through August 15^th; exams are scheduled for August 19^th and 20^th.  Bussing to/from Starpoint High School will be provided.

AP Students/Parents,

The cost for AP exams this year is $98.00 per exam. Students who qualify for a financial reduction of student fees will be charged a reduced rate of $13.00 per exam. If you qualify for a reduced rate but have not filled out the district CEP form, please turn that in ASAP so a reduced rate can be applied. Students can pay for the exam by either using their school account through myschoolbucks or by bringing in a check or money order for the cost of the exam. All AP students will be invoiced through myschoolbucks. You will receive an email alerting you of this invoice. Invoices will only be open until November 10th.

Students may also pay for the exam using a check or money order. Check or Money orders must be made out to “North Tonawanda City School District.” No cash will be accepted. If using a check or money order, you must also fill out the form below and return it with payment to the main office.

All payments must be received by November 14, 2023, to avoid a late fee charge. Any questions please message me on Schoology or email me at wbreed@ntschools.org

2023-24 New York State Excelsior Scholarship
HESC is pleased to announce that the 2023-24 New York State Excelsior Scholarship application is now available! With the Excelsior Scholarship, eligible students can attend a SUNY or CUNY college or university tuition free!

As school counselors, you play a vital role in helping your students pursue their academic dreams. We encourage you to inform your students about the Excelsior Scholarship.

In order to apply, students must meet eligibility requirements, including:

• Be residents of New York State.
• Plan to attend a SUNY or CUNY two or four-year college.
• Complete 30 credits per year towards their program of study.
• Be on track to graduate on time with an Associate's Degree in two years or a Bachelor's Degree in four years.

The application period for the Excelsior Scholarship closes on August 31, 2023. Eligible students should apply at www.hesc.ny.gov/excelsior as soon as possible to avoid missing the deadline.

NTHS "Overtime Goals"
North Tonawanda High School offers an after-school program starting Monday, September 11th called "Overtime Goals" to help students that may be struggling with academics in their classes. The program will run Monday thru Thursday from 2:45 - 3:45 in the high school library. Students are encouraged to join the Overtime Goals group in Schoology to view the schedule.
