Cardiac clearance needed after having COVID-19
In mid-January 2021, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) released a statement with recommendations regarding students who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and their participation in physical education and sports. In response to AAP's guidance, key personnel at NTCSD have conferred with our medical director, Dr. Douglas A. Schultz from Wheatfield Pediatrics, and we have developed a district plan and protocol moving forward with regards to students diagnosed with COVID-19. Please see the letter from NTCSD Medical Director Dr. Schultz and the COVID assessment/release for return to activities (PE and Sports) form.
