Lead in Water Testing at NTCSD
In compliance with new legislation (NYCRR Title 10, Subpart 67-4) requiring public school districts to test their water outlets for lead contamination and to implement a lead remediation plan where necessary, the North Tonawanda City School District has completed water testing at all of our schools and buildings. The water sampling and reports were conducted by Stohl Environmental, a New York State Environmental Consultant. The district has received the results which are being reported on the district website. As results are received, they will be posted to the district website and individual building's website. To access more information about the Lead in Water Testing and to view individual reports, please visit our Lead Testing Results page. You can also read the Lead in Water Testing Letter to Parents and view Drake Elementary School's Results.
School of Savers Program at NT Elementary and Middle Schools
North Tonawanda City School District and Niagara Regional Federal Credit Union have partnered together to educate elementary and middle school students about the importance of responsible finance. Through the School of Savers program, students have the opportunity to open and maintain a savings account, gain a sense of responsibility, and develop the experience needed to know the importance of investing money. The program reinforces basic math skills, and gives hands on experience in handling money. Participation in the program is encouraged but entirely voluntary. For more information, visit NT's School of Savers web page.
