UPK
The North Tonawanda City School District offers a Universal Prekindergarten (UPK) program that provides an educationally-based, high-quality program to eligible four year old children.

NEW! Effective September 2011, Carousel Academy is the provider of this program which will operate from Grant School, 35 Grant Street.

The program:
- is free of charge.
- is 5 days per week (no exceptions).
is 2-1/2 hours per day and follows the North Tonawanda City School District calendar.
offers a morning session from 8:45 - 11:15 a.m.
(Note: Morning session for school year 2012-13 will be 9:05 - 11:35 a.m.)
offers an afternoon session from 12:00 - 2:30 p.m.
(Note: Afternoon session for school year 2012-13 will be 12:30 - 3 p.m.)
Students in the program develop:
language and communication skills.
creative and critical thinking skills.
gross and fine motor skills.
kindergarten readiness skills.
